Congratulations on your new baby! I would absolutely be honored to have the rewarding job of photographing your new little mini in his/her first few days of life. I am so passionate about newborn photography and I consider myself truly blessed to be around these little miracles – they grow up way too fast!
It is my hope that you come to the studio feeling comfortable and at home. I would be truly honored to be able to document this incredible time in your lives!
The newborn photography package includes 40+ professionally edited digital images with printing rights.
Newborn sessions typically take between 3-4 hours. Between feeding, diapers, and getting the baby to sleep, newborn sessions take a lot of time and patience. We all do our best to prepare for the session, but ultimately we are on baby time. Family / Sibling photos are included in this session.
Shooting this session within the first 14 days of life is ideal!
Maternity sessions last about one hour in studio or on location and include 30+ professionally edited digital images with printing rights.
These sessions typically take place between 32-34 weeks of your pregnancy.
Book your maternity and newborn sessions together and automatically get 10% off the maternity session!

ASAP!! As soon as you find out your Due Date, contact me through my website by clicking the “contact” tab above. You can also email me directly at [email protected].
Make sure to include me on your list of important people to contact after baby arrives so we can confirm your session date. We will schedule your session within the first 14 days of life, after you have been home a few days and settled in. It is best to do the photo shoot within this time frame so we can get him/her in those cute sleepy poses!
Be prepared for the session to take 3-4 hours. Between feeding, diapers, and getting the baby to sleep, newborn sessions take a lot of time and patience. We all do our best to prepare for the session, but ultimately we are on baby time. :) Most of the photos we will be taking work best when your baby is in a deep sleep. To encourage this, do your best to keep baby awake for 1-2 hours prior to the session so baby is nice and tired when we start. A couple of things to try.. bath, let baby kick with only a diaper on, tickle toes, and even let baby fuss for a bit, avoid pacifiers for a few hours beforehand. This will ensure those squishy, sleepy newborn pictures! Plan to feed baby once you arrive to the studio so we have the best chance of getting baby sleepy right away! Dress baby in easy to remove clothing, not tight or with lots of buttons. If baby is in a deep sleep we can easily remove the clothing (no onsie) and diaper without waking.
It will be at least 80 degrees in the studio. Due to this, I come dressed for a warm few hours and suggest you do too!
Mom & Dad you are a big part of the show. Photographing the connection between you and your baby is one of my all time favorite things. I typically start the session with parent and sibling photos. I suggest wearing neutrals like a white solid top for Mom and a tight fitting t-shirt for Dad, this keeps everything looking very natural and timeless. If there are older siblings coming please remember that these sessions can take up to 4 hours and attention spans can get short. I always do the sibling/family shots first so Dad or Grandparents can leave with the older kids while we focus on the newborn. It’s much easier on Mom and baby to relax and stay sleepy with no interruptions. I typically spend approximately 30-45min on parent / sibling shots to make sure we leave enough time to focus on baby. As for what to wear for the siblings, I also suggest to keep it simple using neutral colors.
PACIFIER! This is very important whether you plan on using it or not, it helps transition baby from position to position. If you don’t happen to have one, I keep unopened soothies here in the studio (as well as plenty of newborn diapers and wipes). An extra change of clothes for both Baby and Parents is also a good idea.. you never know what might happen!
I have a wide variety of props for both boys and girls that I hand pick specifically based on my style of newborn photography. I am always picking up new items to keep things fresh. As an artist/photographer I do have a specific style and taste that I like to stick with, if you booked with me than chances are you like it!
